Tag 1 in Negombo

Ich hole sie am Flughafen ab und bringe Sie in Ihr Hotel in Negombo. Die Fahrt dauert nur 30 min. Sie können sich den Rest des Tages im Hotel erholen.

Tag 2 in Kalawana

Morgens verlassen wir das Hotel und besuchen den Fischmarkt in Negombo. Dort sehen Sie, wie einer der quirligsten lokalen Fischmärkte funktioniert.
Danach fahren wir nach Kelaniya und besichtigen einen buddhistischen Tempel, der einer der 16 heiligen Stätten für Buddhisten in Sri Lanka ist.
Weiterfahrt nach Kalawana und Übernachtung.

Tag 3

Früh morgens verlassen wir das Hotel und machen eine Trekkingtour im Sinharaja Regenwald, wo Sie selbst die Energie der Natur spüren.
Danach fahren Sie nach Balapitiya und besuchen das Schildkröten-Conservation-Project. Anschließend gehen Sie auf eine Bootssafari in auf dem Madu-Fluss durch Mangroveninseln. Im Anschluss daran fahren wir nach Galle.
Übernachtung in Galle.

Tag 4 in Galle

Früh morgens verlassen Sie das Hotel und fahren nach Mirissa, von wo aus Sie eine dreistündige Bootsafari unternehmen, um Wale zu beobachten. Es ist die beste Region um Wale in Sri Lanka zu sehen. (Die beste Zeit ist von November bis April.)
Sie kehren zurück zum Hotel und nachmittags entdecken Sie das Galle Fort, UNESCO Weltkulturerbe aus der holländischen Kolonialzeit.
Besuchen Sie eine einheimische Familie auf einen Tee oder ein Abendessen mit ihnen, je nachdem was Sie interessiert.
Übernachtung in dem selben Hotel.

Tag 5 in Thissamaharamaya

Heute fahren wir nach Thissa mit Fotostopps entlang der Küste oder kleinerer Tempel. Am Nachmittag machen Sie eine Safari im Yala Nationalpark, wo Sie Leoparden, Elefanten, wilde Büffel, Hirsche, Krokodile und viele eingewanderte oder endemische Vögel mit etwas Glück beobachten können.
Übernachtung in Thissa.

Tag 6 in Udawalawa

Vom Hotel fahren Sie zum Tempel Buduruwagala und weiter nach Udawalawa. Dort sehen sie das Baby-Elefanten Waisenhaus. Nachmittags steht eine Safari im Udawalawa Nationalpark an. Dieser Nationalpark ist besonders bekannt für seine Elefanten und Vögel.
Übernachtung in Udawalawa.

Tag 7 in Nuwara Eliya

Auf der Fahrt nach Nuwara Eliya sehen Sie Teeplantagen und kleine Gemüsefelder. Besichtigen Sie eine Teefabrik und genießen Sie dort eine feine Tasse Tee. Nachmittags steht eine kleine Trekkingtour auf dem Programm, um einen versteckten Wasserfall zu erkunden, der Bomburu Ella heißt.
Übernachtung in Nuwara Eliya.

Tag 8 in Kandy

Früh morgens verlassen Sie das Hotel und unternehmen eine 9 km lange Trekkingtour in den Horten Plains, sehen Sie das World´s End und die Braker´s Wasserfälle.
Weiterfahrt nach Kandy zum Zahntempel (UNESCO Weltkulturerbe), wo Sie eine kulturelle Tanzshow sehen werden.
Übernachtung in Kandy.

Tag 9 in Sigiriya

Von Kandy fahren fahren Sie zur Sigiriya Felsenfestung und erklimmen den Felsen. Eine interessante Mischung aus historischer und Natur-Sehenswürdigkeit, die UNESCO Weltkulturerbe ist und aus dem fünften Jahrhundert n. C. stammt.
Nachmittags gehen Sie auf eine Safari im Minnariya Nationalpark, der der beliebteste Safaripark für Elefanten ist.
Übernachtung in Sigiriya.

Tag 10

Vormittags relaxen Sie im Hotel. Nachmittags erhalten Sie eine echte traditionelle Ayurveda Massage.
Übernachtung in dem selben Hotel.

Tag 11

Rückfahrt zum Flughafen oder zu ihrem Strandhotel.

10 days in Sri Lankan nature

1st day in Negombo

I will meet you at the Airport and bring you to the hotel in Negombo. It takes only 30 minutes. You can relax the rest of the day in the hotel.

2nd day in Kalawana

Today morning we leave the hotel and see the fish market in Negombo. There you will see how ne of the busiest local fish markets is functioning.
And then we drive to Kelaniya and see the Buddhist temple, one of the sacred 16 places for Buddhists in Sri Lanka.
Continue drive to Kalawana and overnight stay in Kalawana.

3rd day
Early morning leave the hotel and do trekking in Singharaja rain forest. Where you meet and feel the energy of the nature.

Thereafter drive to Balapitiya and visit a turtle conservation project and do a boat safari on Madu river through mangrove islands. Thereafter drive to Galle.
Night stay in Galle.

4th day in Galle

Early morning leave the hotel and go to Mirissa and do a 3 hours boat safari to see the whales, the best area to watch the whales in Sri Lanka. (Best time is from November to April.)
Come back to the hotel and in the afternoon you explore Galle fort, a world heritage site left from Dutch colonial times.
Visiting a local family and have a tea or dinner with them depending on your interest.
Night stay in the same hotel

5th day in Thissamaharamaya
Today drive to Thissa, on the way stop and do some photos along the coast or little temples.
In the afternoon do a safari in Yala national park. leopards, Elephants, wild buffaloes, deers, crocodiles and a lot of different migrant and local birds are possibly to see here.
Stay overnight in Thissa

6th day in Udawalawa
Leave the hotel and drive to Buduruwagala temple and then go to Udawalawa. See the elephant orphanage for the baby elephants and in the afternoon do a safari in Udawalawa national park. This national park is specifically famous for elephants and birds.
Overnight stay in Udawalawa

 

7th day in Nuwara Eliya
Drive to Nuwara eEiya , see the tea plantations and small vegetable fields. See a tea factory and have a fine cup of tea. In the afternoon do a little trekking tour to see a hidden waterfall called Bomburu Ella.
Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.

8th day in Kandy
Early morning leave the hotel and do a 9 km long trekking tour in Horton Plains, see World’s end and Braker’s fall.
Drive to Kandy and see the temple of tooth relic of Buddha and also see a cultural dancing show
Overnight stay in Kandy.

9th day in Sigiriya
Leave Kandy and drive to Sigiriya rock fortress and climb the rock a blend of interesting historical and natural site, a world heritage site belongs from  5th century A.D
In the afternoon do a safari in Minnariya national park the most popular safari park to see elephants.

10th day
Relax in the morning at the hotel and in the afternoon have a real traditional Ayurvedic massage.

Drive to the airport or your beach hotel
